The Mindarie Marina Function Centre is part of a multi-stage masterplan to transform a tired and non-functional 80s development into a key northern suburbs beachside destination.
The project involves a refurbishment of the interior of the existing function centre building and adjoining external pool and amenities area.
The external fabric of the building will be generally retained with a number of secondary structures removed along with the existing swimming pool and amenities area.
The interior refurbishment involves removing the existing bar area, fireplace and other internal walls in order to provide two independent function areas that can be opened up to act as one single space when a larger event occurs. A reconfigured main entry foyer and expanded toilet facilities are also provided to serve the new function rooms.
Externally the new covered outdoor bar will address a spacious alfresco area with fireplace for dining and drinking, whilst the new open outdoor functions area has been refreshed and updated with a landscaped pool deck and grassed area for entertaining both hotel and function guests.
