An angular site in the heart of Midland was chosen to host one of Western Australia’s first timber construction multi-residential developments.
Exaggerated perspectives were utilised at the buildings corners to highlight the unusual site shape. Midlands’ industrial past is reflected through the colour palette and robustness of materials proposed.
A commercial tenancy to The Crescent continues the High Street typology, while 9 dual aspect apartments set over three levels interface with the surrounding laneway network.
The developer has a strong connection to timber construction, with timber chosen over typical apartment construction methods for its sustainability credentials and speed of construction.
